Taiwanese pop star Selina Jen was badly burnt in an accident on the set of drama, I Have A Date with Spring. She was discharged from hospital on Jan 19 and has been recuperating at home.
Selina's compensation, due to the accident, has since come under the spotlight.
In early February, the singer's management company, HIM International, revealed that they had already reached a settlement with Hunan TV, the broadcast station responsible for the drama.
The public then speculated that Selina would receive at least NT$100 million (approx. S$4.3 mil) in compensation since that is how much the singer earns each year.
However, it was reported recently that Selina received less than half of that amount, believed to be a measly sum of NT$45 million (approx. S$2 million).
In an interview last month, Selina's fiancé Richard Chang let on that he was not satisfied with the compensation amount.
HIM International commented on the speculations yesterday: "[There are] many reports and rumours online. We will not respond to them. The compensation amount is confidential. We cannot reveal [it]."
